The Staff team is looking to modify the official rules and they require the community to vote on before taking effect. The following rule that has changes is Rule 18: “Gunplay over roleplay”. This would be changed/updated to provide clarity to remove any grey areas. Please keep in mind, rules will always contain a grey area due to case-by-case reports and scenarios. We are also looking to add 2 new rules revolving around Chain Robbing & Hostages.

Current Rule

Rule 18: “Gunplay over roleplay”

The following applies not only to the usage of firearms (guns) but also includes melee weapons and vehicles.

a. In order to down/incapacitate another player, there first must be some reasonable amount of verbal dialog from both parties intended to help further an RP storyline.
b. You may not down/incapacitate another player for the sole purpose of looting their inventory and without giving them a reasonable chance to comply.

Rule 18: “Gunplay over roleplay”


Gunplay should only be done as a last chance to escape to avoid a felony arrest, or being killed.  Also when demands from to hostage/negotiator are not being met, or if the other player is pulling a gun to shoot back at you. Gunplay should only be used if your player or someone in your groups life is in danger. Players should be trying to build RP scenarios around guns not just shooting.

We encourage all players to use a clipping software for evidence if a report has taken place. If a report is filed, all parties involved will need to provide evidence supporting their story.

EXAMPLE: 

Player-1 is getting chased by the police, and total their car and a foot pursuit ensues. Player-1s' buddy (player-2) is pulling up in a car to pick up Player-1. Before getting in the car Player-1 shoots and downs the cop.
- This would be a violation on player-1

Player-1 is on a foot pursuit with Police-1. Police-1 starts spamming a non-lethal weapon (Tazer or Bean bag shotgun) so Player-1 is not able to try and escape
- This would be a violation on Police-1

Player-1 is on a foot pursuit by Police-1. Player-1 gets shot by a Tazer then gets up an notices an alley ahead. Player-1 runs into the alley and waits for Police-1. When Police-1 Turns the corner Player-1 shoots Police-1 
- This is a violation on Player-1. 

Player-1 is armed and runs into Player-2 business. Player-2 runs behind a wall, pulls out a gun and shoots Player-1 immediately
- This is a violation on Player 2

This rule can be interpreted many different ways, any GP>RP rule break needs to be reported on the website so the Staff Team can review it. If you have any questions on this rule please ask a Staff member. We urge you to record any Gunplay scenarios and hold them for at least 5 days to help with evidence if a report is made.

New Addition

Chain Robbing

 

Do not chain rob. You must allow 30 min before each robbery. If you are caught in chain robbing stores/banks/heists, you could face disciplinary action and/or removal of the money you received from the robberies.

Players are not allowed to back to back rob locations with the same interaction all the time. What this means, that if you are caught doing a bank, you should NOT be hitting the same bank with the same car with the same people 45 minutes later. Players must bring RP to their interactions. Doing the same thing, same game plan, same robbery, same everything will be met with Chain Robbing violations.

All Robberies no matter what it is (Store, Jewelry, Banks, Warehouses etc.) players need to stay for at least 5 minutes after the robbery is completed if no cops have arrived on scene. This makes sure the interaction is there. We understand that some people are good at robberies but we are pushing for more interaction in these scenarios, and it will reward you for evading police.

New Addition

Hostages

 

You are not permitted to rob banks, jewelry stores, etc. without hostages or by yourself. This is low effort RP, and should be common sense to go through the steps of robbing places. Smash and Grabs are just ways to get money without any interaction with others in the server, and would result in a violation of this rule.

The only robbery allowed to be hit without a hostage are House robberies.

Taking a civilian hostage is only for quality roleplay (robberies, etc.) and must not keep a hostage for more than one robbery. When trading a hostage for demands you must not abuse their life and only have 1 demand per hostage.
