The Staff team is looking to modify the official rules and they require the community to vote on before taking effect. The following rules that have changes are Off Limits RP, RDM & VDM, and Meta-gaming. These rules have been changed/updated for clarity to remove any grey areas. Please keep in mind, rules will always contain a grey area due to case-by-case reports and scenarios, but hopefully these rules will provide clarity.

------------------------------------

Current Rule

Rule 2: Off limits RP

No forced or unwanted sexual RP.

No overly homophobic, transphobic, or racist RP.

Recommended change

"There is a zero tolerance policy for Racism, Bestiality, Erotic Roleplay, Suicide, or Rape RP."

Slurs

Homophobic, racial, or gender offensive slurs of any kind can and likely will, result in a ban. These will not be tolerated here. Slurs against nationality are also not tolerated.

Sexual RP

Sexual RP is only allowed when the other person is consenting. Rape RP is not allowed and definitely will not be tolerated.

Gruesome RP

Gruesome RP such as torture RP (unless with consent from the other party) is also not tolerated. It can be considered power-gaming as well.

If at any point you are uncomfortable with a situation, you may tell the other player via OOC chat that you are uncomfortable and to please stop. If they do not stop, report them.

If you are told the other player is uncomfortable with the RP and would fall into this rule, you must stop.

Current Rule

Rule 5: Random Deathmatch & Vehicle Deathmatch

It is forbidden for any player to kill/incapacitate another without reason. This includes the use of vehicles.

Examples of RDM/VDM:

  • Blindly spam punching another player immediately after you join the server
  • Shooting someone you have never directly or indirectly interacted with because you felt like it
  • Slamming your car into a crowd of people whom you have no reason to feel hostile towards

Recommended change

RDM is not allowed. RDM is defined as killing a player with little to no interaction.

Initiation is required to engage in combat with another player. When initiating, you must make the player aware of your intent. To initiate you must be AT LEAST within shout voice range, and you must allow the other person to respond to your roleplay with words or actions. A player may not be engaged in a menu or animation for proper initiation to occur.

If you forcefully engage with someone while driving, the audio initiation rule becomes invalid, meaning they can fire on you if they fear for their life. Take this into consideration before forcing someone off the road the next time you want to rob them.

Current Rule

Rule 7: Meta-Gaming

Players, including officers & EMS, are not allowed to use a player's ID number to find another player behind buildings, inside vehicles with tinted windows, "recognize"  or otherwise notice an individual.

  • Use a player's name/player ID # when reporting them to police during in-game interactions UNLESS your character is aware of the individual's name.
  • Use of real-life knowledge against another player that your in-game player does not know.
  • Refer to players by their player ID #
  • Using ANY out of game communication software unless otherwise authorized/Use of Government Teamspeak for EMS & SASP.
